Born in 1985 in Tahiti, DJ Fred Tahiti has always been cuddled by his island’s traditional music. At 14, he got a crush on the parties made by his DJs friends. At this time, two CD players, a “mixette” and some good CDs were enough to have a never-ending night of happiness.
Later, with his friends, they buy some professional equipment so they can progress and do just like professionals do. With this goal in his mind, DJ Fred Tahiti begun animating some radio phonic shows and was still learning to the maximum what he could about this musical culture that was “Deejaying”
During the year 2000, he threw himself into data processing in order to publish his own Maxi versions, and then he learns how to mix his titles by doing bootleg, and then, compositions.
In 2003, he became famous in the whole of French Polynesia thanks to some remix that soon became must-haves for local radios.
Having reached 18, when enjoying the different discos of the Island, he realised the success of his remixes that were played by every DJ. So he decided to work for The Paradise Night Tahiti that offered him to be the DJ for their pub “Le Chaplin’s”.
He also had the opportunity to work with other night-clubs such as The Mana Rock Café, the Zénith in Raiatea and the Club 106.
He didn’t stop there; he continued animating private parties for firms or individuals.
In 2005, he met Weston, practicing rap, who comes from Paname (92 in France) and decided to live in Tahiti. They both decided to build their label WWProductions (Tahiti)
In 2006, from this alliance, the released an album which titled was: “Si j’avais su” (“If I had known”)
In this very period, DJ Fred Tahiti became THE DJ who officiates for the Paradise Night (Tahiti), the biggest night-club of our “Fenua” (country) for 20 years.
Nowadays, being a real professional as far as new technologies are concerned, he publishes, remixes his videos and composes some video-animations that stand as ads in the night-club he works in.
Now a genuine and multi-task DJ, he makes people dance Rock n’ Roll and Salsa on Fridays from 8pm to midnight, is a generalist DJ the whole week and officiates in front of 600 people every week-ends. The Paradise Night Tahiti is the specialist in two-dancer music such as zouk, salsa, rock n’ roll…
